Several shallow quakes occured on March 03 around Teneriffe : one again on the fault line between Teneriffe and Gran Canaria- first time from a depth of just 6 km below sealevel. Two magmatic quakes were noticed South of El Pinar/ El Hierro, where the hot spot is situated
On February 27 and 28, two quakes had occured offshore Puerto de la Cruz and again in the North of Teneriffe, ( I have not reported yet in the previous months report) IGN made no notes on the depth of these quakes:
indicating magmatic activity are rather low on all islands and are relatively strongest on La Gomera: (hot magma however makes less tremors than cooler one):
There were two minor proton events on the Sun ( 20150221 and 20150228) followed by an electron accumulation that exceeded 1.000 pfu on March 03. Its - due to my statistic evaluations- very likely, that these energetic electrons- the earth atrackts from the solar magnetic field in an equivalence to neutralise the amount of solar protons that impacted with such an SEP before- contribute much to volcanic surface activities:

MARCH 31- 2015
until the end of March 2015. the activity was rather low, Low magnitude magmatic quakes below El Hierro continued n a low rate with less than 1 event in two days.
On March 29 a larger magmatic quake occured subseas South of El Hierro, likely form the mantle plume below. The quake had a magnitude of M 3.5 and was felt all over the island as some kind of minpr shaking that caused no damage:

On March 31. IGN reports a new serial of microquakes now also below the main crater of Gran Canaria whicnh looks rather like a caldera yet but which for sure is sleeping since ages. However this all is a clear that the activity 1. is going on with magma, which has accumulated during thas past year in the old e caldera right in middle of the Canary islands and which is now coming more and more near to the surface .
2. THe caldera as filled with at least on kilometer of sediments brought along in thge last thousand years
by the sea currents has created a highly resistant layer against the magmatic pressure from the deep.
this all at let conclude, that this accumulated magma- just depending whether the magmatic intrusion from the Canary hotspot - South east of El Hierro will continue or stop now at any time -
one day just burst its way free through an explosive which due to all what we could observe duriong tha past year will likely occure
on or around Teneriffe
and 2. THat it builts slowly up more and more pressure on all the old formation- mainly the one of mount Teide and now also to aneighbored Gran Canaria:

JUst the faulkt liner between Teneriffe and Gran Canaria was rather active with a longer serial of deep quakes exact from around a subsea peak right in the middle o both islands, which is believed to be a volcano crater in the forming, but which never erupted yet, as there is typical crater to see.
AVCAN now issued a statement about this formation. saying in general, that the ship Angeles alvariño will now further examine the formation and the 500 meter high believed to be or to become a volcano crater, after
more 24 minor quakes occured there within one month. all these quakes thos contiunue since more than a half year ever occured yet in depths between 20 and 30 kilometrerm, but became some mlore shallow during tha past month..
The image shown along with tjhat article however is not taken form tjat side but shows the new crater that has formed out at the end of the first activity period in 2011, when the crater almost yet reached the surface, when the activity then suddenly stopped and is unlikely to appear there again, since mantle magme creates extreme hard stone if it once cools down and
hardens out This is why shield volcanoes have always have many craters, as a previous interrupted activity forms such a hard shield that the next activity mostly appears at the edge of that shield, where the formation becomes weaker and soft enough that the magma can get through to the surface.
